38th Avenue and Balboa Street, 1951 and 2006

The Bank of America is still there on the SW corner of 38th and Balboa, but it's swallowed up "Sterling Cleaners" and the "Balboa Club" bar in the last fifty years. In 1951, there were a lot more windows on the 38th Avenue side. Walter's Creamery was getting a delivery of Spreckel's Ice Cream in this shot.
