Grand Chandelier
High above the Alexandria's main auditorium floats this grand chandelier, a survivor of the theater's original 1928 interior decor. The chandelier, in the stylized shape of the sun that was so important in Egyptian cosmology, hangs from a great plaster dome painted as if a skylight open to a blue sky.
