I think it was around 1960 when my friend Nelson Shuman (RIP) and myself got up early one Saturday morning and ran to the Parkside to get in line for "20 Cartoons and a Ma & Pa Kettle movie." We were about twelve and didn't mind the two hour wait because we had anticipated this day for what seemed like eternity...maybe a week. As the first cartoon reeled off, Nelson flattened a popcorn box and flung it into the movie screen. He was nabbed by an usher and summarily ejected. I stayed and watched all the cartoons and "Ma and Pa Kettle in Hawaii."
