I remember it well, my Mom (LaVerne) kept me home from school as I was sick in bed with a fever! Mom had just brought me a bowl of soup for my lunch and the next thing I remember was being on the floor with a bowl of soup all over the place and my fish tank was on the floor. My Dad a S.F. Fireman Robert (Bob)stationed above Playland/Sutro's on Geary st. 47 Engine. When he came home we all went for a ride, it was an amazing sight to see all the distruction. I don't think any of our neighbors we hurt, but they were all shook up (as Elvis would say) San Francisco was a great place to grow up with lots of fund memories! God Bless our troops!
