Well, Frank, ya got me all weepy, ya did...

I still have one of those old metal grinders you clamp to the edge of the kitchen counter (belonged to my Mom). Whenever I hosted TG in the past, out came the grinder to grind up the cranberries in (for our own family cranberry sauce recipe - no canned stuff for us). My grinder also has an assortment of round metal "templates" (if you will) to insert into the neck of the grinder so you could produce things in different shapes. According to collectible dealers I've known, this makes that grinder even more unique.

Still have the cut-glass cranberry dish too!

And, until 1994, I also had the big crockery bowl my Mom used to mix her stuffing up in. Alas, it broke during its move from California to Oregon. Stuffing has NOT tasted the same since that tragedy.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Outsidelanders!
