There was an interesting 2007? interview with on 'Morning Edition'/NPR. Bottom line: Jim Krawczyk from Wisconsin drove up to NH & found where Salinger lived. His first stop was met by the 'ex' who basically tells him 'thanks but no thanks',then later added 'he lives across the road'! He walks over there & is face to face with his nibs. It went further more in depth & may be re-heard tonight but interesting by-line re: this enigmatic, reclusive soul. Thought I'd pass some mustard for this slice... http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=10841242
