Further on where to buy...
Last spring I wanted to purchase four pinochle decks of cards for a week of pinochle at Camp Mather. I lost count of the places I visited but around the tenth location I found a cache of pinochle decks. (Walgreens of all places!)
Finding the decks was only half the battle. The clerk did NOT want to sell them to me. He insisted that I would be disappointed. He said that all the cards would not be in the decks. There would be no 2s, 3s, 4s, etc. I said YES, THANK YOU. He insisted that I would be upset and try to return the cards - that's the way it always happens. Finally, I promised on the ghost of Hoyle that I would not return the decks unless they were otherwise defective.
In the locations where there were no pinochle decks, some of the clerks had no idea of what a pinochle deck was and others sent me to the computer game section.
