This is third-hand info, but I had a neighbor who was an attorney for one of the guys who escaped from Alcatraz (Frank Morris or the Anglin brothers). The phone rang one day and his wife, also an attorney in his office answered it and a male voice asked for her husband. She told the voice that he was in a meeting and asked if she could take message. The voice said: "Read the paper tomorrow." The next day, the escape was on the front page.

I wouldn't bet the family diamond mines on the truth of the story, but it's good one.
