Re: Parkside Theatre

I attended the Parkside with my boyhood buddies in the 1960's. During the Summer months one could buy 12 discount tickets in June which were good for Saturday afternoon matinees that would fill the theater with 100s of kids, mostly boys, who at times would go nuts throwing popcorn and candy and squirting soda and yelling and jumping on the seats. There was a severely retarded man named Denny who had his special seat there in the back row and if you sat in his seat, when he returned from the snack bar, he would go nuts and yell at you like a gorilla so that you moved fast!
