Yes, the two horn bells for the Heath siren are in the museum collection of San Francisco Maritime NHP. The catalog record can be found here: http://www.museum.nps.gov/safr/vfpcgi.exe?IDCFile=/safr/DETAILS.IDC,SPECIFIC=6800,NEXTRECORDS=0,PREVRECORDS=0,DATABASE=43059015,LISTIDC=/SAFR/PAGE.IDC,RECORDMAX=10,RECNO=2,WORDS=heath

The story about their rescue from a dumpster is accurate. There were articles in the Chronicle about it at the time of donation: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2001/11/23/MN165918.DTL and http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2002/02/09/MN208961.DTL
