Great pics, John...That one labeled "Cabin-1" was actually the "Acorn Room" (see the imprint of darker paint to the left of the entrance where the plywood "acorn" was once hanging. This was the place where the evening movies were shown and the bingo games were played. The interior had enormous plywood cutouts of leaves bolted to the open-raftered ceiling--tres chic.

The scene of the locked metal mailboxes outside the office is slightly updated from 1963 when the cabins all had numbered pigeon-hole-style open wooden boxes mounted on that wall for incoming mail.

The pics you posted of the other two kiddie pools have now helped me to round out the count of 7 pools: those two, plus "Diaper Bay" to the right of the Main Pool, "Small Fry Tiger Pit" way back in the right-hand corner, the Main Pool itself, the Diving Pool, and the Kids Pool with the rock waterfall, off on the far left side. I just sent Woody pics of that rock waterfall pool, plus one of the bandstand, and another showing our Cabin #32 from the summer of '63.

Just seeing the pics of those low-water-level kiddie pools reminded me of the constant smell of...well, let's just say that they had a constant smell. Today, poor old Max Friedman would have the county health inspector chasing after him with a citation. Hey, everybody managed to survive, though--right?

Ah, it's getting to be late afternoon--time for me to fire up the grill and splash some more lighter fluid on those Kingsford charcoal briquets, and then let the smoke start to drift.
