My folks never frequented MT&CC, so I had fun reading about what I missed.

I also enjoyed the "rituals" your family indulged in regarding planning, packing, etc. for your vacations. My parents did similar things in choosing the groceries we would bring, clothing to be brought, and so on. It's like there were unspoken, subconscious, universal rules all our parents felt compelled to follow, in order to have a properly-run and well-organized vacation.
