I know this is an old stream, but I just found it while perusing the site. Like Heidi, I was a traffic girl at Parkside during the years 1963-64. I was a Lieutenant (whatever that meant) in 1964 when I was in H6 grade. We didn't have the power or large "STOP" signs that traffic people have now. We essentially had to make students stop until there were no cars. I do remember learning about JFK's assassination from a fellow student, Linda Pond, on my way to my traffic corner at lunchtime at 24th and Ulloa.
