One school activity I vaguely recall were the Intramural/Intermural sport games that were played for fun mostly.

In grammar school I seem to remember games such as kickball, basketball, four-square, etc, being played during lunchtime recess or after school. Each team was made up of students in each class, and the two class teams would play whatever game in a friendly competition.

In Jr High and High School, I can remember that teams from other schools would come (to Giannini/Lincoln in my case) to compete in games that also included sports such as the 50/100 yard dash or other Track & Field games, flag football, etc.

As I mentioned, I believe these games were mostly for fun (perhaps a little excerise as well). Maybe the teachers had a little "inside betting action" going on, but I won't blow the whistle on that...oops, maybe I just did. Hahaha

Anyway, do any of you remember the Intramural (or Intermural) game competitions while at school?
