Good pulse thumping story. Reminds me of a similar run-in with the law we had on July 4th 1957. With my uncle who lived on 43rd and Ulloa, about 20 neighborhood iids gathered and fire crackers were lit by my uncle's glowing Marlboro at a rapid rate.

Cop car comes and my uncle ditches into his house along with me and half dozen kids seeking asylum. Finally, he had to face the music and resolved the issue...giving the cop 10 minutes to relocate, he and we were at it again, bring the Battle of Britton to the outer sunset.

Cheers,
jb
