W.M. - as usual, you are magical - the Irish Faeries were surely guiding you! How nice to see Our jb toast from way back when.
And I also thank jb for correctly saying "St. Paddy's Day" instead of the erroneous "St. Patty's Day." Not gonna "school" anyone here...just please Google it and school yourselves.
I've always been amused by my mixed heritage. A Urkanian/Polish/Russian kid adopted by the purest San Francisco Irish family (children of SF Irish immigrants) you could EVER imagine!
The ongoing arguments about "Nature vs. Nurture" are telling. While I re-connected with my birth roots and birth family years ago, I still see myself as "Irish Nurtured," and as the years have gone by, it has solidified.
As my Very Wise Birth Mother said, "We have connections, but we do not have a history. Your history lies with the mother and father who raised you."
Well said....and Erin go Bragh...
...and will someone PLEASE bake a lovely loaf of Irish Soda Bread and mail it to me???
