I'd heard of this institution for years and finally had a chance to try it on a recent photo trip. Parked several blocks away and hit the door feeling ravenous. The place was packed and while it had a historic feeling, the food was blah and the margaritas underwhelming. Service was good and the stale chips quickly replaced upon request.
Do any of you have a connection with this place? Other than being there since 1965, I just don't see the draw and am wondering what I missed. It sure wasn't the Hot House or Santiago's but I had a very narrow point of reference when I dined at those places in my youth.
All thoughts welcomed, por favor.
