Re: Tommy's Mexican Restaurant

El Sombrero retains a special place for me as it was the first restaurant that I went to on my own as a mid teenager. The waitress asked if I had money and I pulled my roll of George Washingtons to impress. I think the bill with tip came to two-fifty. It was a sad day for San Francisco when the old man died in 1991 and the restaurant closed.
