Re: Question about some Sunset corner houses

Still empty the last time I checked--it alternates between pumpkins and Christmas trees. There also used to be a Christmas tree lot one block away at the NW corner of 19th & Ocean, but sometime in the 1970s, a house was built there--some of the neighbors claimed that it was an illegal duplex/set of flats--I don't know.

I've always wondered why the Sunset did not follow the pattern of the Marina, with single-family homes (and/or flats) on the long avenues, and with 3-story apartment buildings at the corners, particularly those corners adjacent to MUNI, such as Judah, Noriega, and Taraval.
