I have distant memories of him. In 1951 one was supposed to be able to swim to graduate While attending SH we also had an opportunity to get a lifeguard certificate. So a small group of us went to Cyrstal Plunge to take the course. Mr Sava was our instructor. He paired us up and I was the smallest in our group but he paired me up with the largest guy in the group. Thanks a lot I thought. In the long run it was difficult but I sure learned the course. He was a stern but a great teacher. I will never forget his course or him.
