When I was in exile in southern California I would miss the formal manners of San Francisco a lot. You got up when a Lady enter the room. Period.
One memory I have of when I was very young, people came over dressed in suits and ties and foxes and lace on lady's to listen to a radio show.
I went to play but it seemed all so nice. Everyone was pleased and amused and as precious as Stephan Breyer.
This just came to mind. One time I saw grown-ups dancing on the way out of the theatre.
Would love to take my grandchildren somewhere like that.
If I could.
