Re: Kezar Football-1966

If you were a jock and went to SI, Thanksgiving at Kezar was a holy day in the late 50's and early 60's. The great SI football teams under Pat Malley made any parochial school kid want to play on that hallowed ground. I remember those backfields of Doherty, Tocchini, Dowd, Calcagno, Musante, Manney marching behind big lines versus Poly, Washington and Lowell.
But it is the Tringali years I am most familiar. I was a west Sunset kid with a dream to play for SI. Lucky for me, I was on that field in 61 and 62. We broke even against Lowell, but those memories remain like yesterday.
