Sunset District History – with Lorri Ungaretti

Saturday March 9, 2019
Sunset Branch Library
1305 18th Ave. at Irving St., San Francisco 94122
1:00 - 2:30 PM

Inspired by our neighborhood's part of the city model, author Lorri Ungaretti shares her expertise on the history of the Sunset District. Parts of the 1938 WPA wooden scale model of San Francisco are on display at all San Francisco libraries through March, and we will examine our segments. Ms. Ungaretti's four books about the Sunset include "Stories in the Sand: San Francisco's Sunset District, 1847-1964", and most recently, "Legendary Locals of San Francisco's Richmond, Sunset & Golden Gate Park." Join us for a wonderful evocation of western San Francisco history.
