Reading these messages about Playland bring back alot of memories. Thw Fun House couldn't exist now-a-days because a segment of people would be always claiming that they were injured on the rocking staircases, or for being knocked over in the spinning barrel. (Would helmets be required now, also?)

I have yet to see any mention of an exhibit that used to be near the "bumper cars". It was a room that you walked through filled with old instruments used to punish, torture or kill people. Plus, it had pictures of people that had been hung, etc. It cost a dime to enter. There is no way that this exhibit would be allowed today either. It was a scary experience.

Times were obviously different in the 50's. Some better, some not.
