Sometimes in the 70's, there was a garage band on Noriega and 48th across from Surf Pharmacy (where I used to work). They had an old milk truck as their road van and they played the wildest music at unbelievable volume. But you know what, they were quite good and made it to the big time. The name of the band: The Tubes. I am quite sure this is where they got started.
