As long as we're on the subject of radio personalities, my rush-home-to-hear-after-school was Bert Solitaire of KRE Oakland. And way long ago, my mother listened to Frank Cope (???)at breakfast - don't remember the station - and The Breakfast Club, where we 'marched around the breakfast table'.
But it was Ovaltine's Orphan Annie, Wheaties' Jack Armstrong, Ralston's Tom Mix, Superman, Captain Midnight and The Lone Ranger and a zillion other radio shows we grew up with that bring back great growing-up memories.
