I have two very poor quality photos of the Guardsman Races in Golden Gate Park, June 1954. As far as I remember, that was the only year an auto race was held there. Most of the outer park (at least) was closed. Maybe someone else remembers the route of the course. We stood on a grassy spot beside the road on the Richmond side of the Park as the little race cars took their laps.
