Loved reading everyone's list of events. Yes, you all stole mine! On a personal note, we always had "hippies" from the beach bringing our dog back to our house on 44th and looking for a handout. One time it was just me and my brother at home, so what did we give them? A package of frozen peas and a pack of Mom's cigarettes, of course.

Another personal note, one time me and my brothers (they loved having to take me along with them)were in GG Park and I took an impromptu swim in Spreckels Lake. My brother probably tripped me and I fell. It's all a blur now. We stopped by the neighbors house (Conidi's) down the street on the way home to dry off me and my clothes. We didn't fess up to Mom this particular event until we were grown and out of the house. She just rolled her eyes and shook her head at us and decided it was probably a good thing she didn't know what all went on when she wasn't home. Boy, she was sooo right!
