Auto races in Golden Gate Park in the 1950's?? Wow! Just curious - where? Would it happen to be at the place now known as "Speedway Meadows"? That's where all the great hippie rock shows happened in the late 60s and early 70s and where the last great one was held in memory of Chet Helms. It would be interesting to find that there actually was once a speedway at Speedway Meadows.
