Re: Your Corner Market - Jack's

Balboa and 26th Ave. The market had a "real" butcher counter. Don't recall the name.
It was the late 1950s. My grandma would send me there to get items like bread, milk and butter. I too would sometimes carry a note to buy dear ol' dad a pack or two of Lucky Strikes. As Woody recalled this store also had well worn plank flooring.
Another market was George's corner of 25th ave and Balboa.
I liked going there best because George had a killer penny candy counter.
