One corner store I remember was on the North East corner of 24th Ave. and California St. It was called Tom's Grocery.
The lady who ran the store was Mary Tom. I don't remember Mary's husband's name. Very nice lady. They had/have two daughters; Carole and Barbara Tom.

I lived two doors down from the store and two doors up from "the black house" (Anton Lavey's house), back in the late fifties, mid sixties.
