Firehouses' Decorated

Does anyone remember when Firehouses' were decirated at Christmas, and the street noff of Sloat Blvd. had all the homes decorated, I believe it was called Candy Lane, and the Cross was always lit on top of Mt. Davidson, it was a beacon of hope, I believe it should still be lit San Francisco has lost a lot of its tradition. Being a native these are just some of the things I remember. Ice Skating in the window at the Emporium, singing Christmas Carols there and Ice Skating at the White House and outdoors in Stonestown. Would like to hear some of your favorite memories.
