It may be some time before you have a reply with the information you are seeking. This particular system is very cumbersome to navigate, which you probably already noticed, and sometimes a reference to a years' old topic isn't picked up right away.

I vaguely remember the real estate/insurance office back from when I rode one streetcar or another thru the West Portal area. After so many years, I was delighted to find this site had so much information about every day memories of my 17 years in The City as a young person. There is a past discussion, a bit more recent than this one, about people who ran businesses from their homes. Miss Theresa, and Mr. Sullivan, are briefly mentioned.

Sorry I can't help you, but keep checking back. Eventually, you will have an answer. Are you also from The Outsidelands? If you aren't--or even if you are--this is a great place to learn some amazing history you won't find anywhere else.
