Gawd, remembering carfare!
I recall the neighborhood big kids deciding to take me & my little brother to a baseball game in the mid-late 50's. We couldn't have been more than 5-6?
Down @ Seals Stadium center field, hollering support @ this new center fielder..Willie Mays. Well, let's just say we blew our fundage & you'd of thought it was the Battan Death March. Over hill & dale from the Potrero back to West Portal. ugh! Guess outings like that prepared many a lad for his Ex.,Chron.,or News Call Bulletin routes.
