Seems what has changed is we once had statesmen and now we have politicians, interested only in reelection and personal gain. Washington has turned into one big toga party and few are willing to make or propose the hard choices to move our country forward.

I feel the legacy of the Kennedy family is a mixed blessing, since it savagely showed what happens to those who stand up for what is right and just and their tragic assassinations, along with a media hungry for personal detail, probably deters many away from high level public service. Alas, we may not see the likes of Jack and Bobby Kennedy again at a time when we need them most.

Time to take up the fiddle.
