San Francisco Model

Hello Outside Lands community! I recently heard Nicole mention the giant 3-D model of San Francisco that was made in the 1930's in the podcast on the Parkside library. I thought the model was so fascinating and I attended several talks in different libraries, including Parkside, about it (the people who ran the program eventually recognized me, lol). I was wondering what happened to the model? I know they put out surveys on ideas as to where it could be permanently on display, or at least some of it. I suggested the other Pier building that the Exploratorium owns (Pier 17, I think) or that the Salesforce building should create a public space. It would be a shame for it to just be put back in storage. So where is it now? Thank you!
