I have not had a chance to go over everything nor the whole podcast but the podcast stating that the lighthouse is only a half mile from shore is completely and totally wrong. It was measured by a friend on a boat to be at least one mile if not more.

It may appear to be only a half mile visually but that is just an optical illusion.

I have just talked friend who says he has some kind of navigating satellite device that can measure the distance to the lighthouse from shore although it may be several weeks before he gets a chance to do so. Then I can give the exact distance.
