Word of warning about Mile Rocks lighthouse: it's extremely perilous to life and limb to attempt to access the structure from a boat. That's why the Coast Guard built a helicopter landing pad atop the stub of the light tower.
Also, it's still an active Aid to Navigation. Trying to get inside would be a federal offense.
Last, no living quarters remain. The crew's quarters in the upper stories were demolished in 1966 along with the lantern room, lens, and shop areas. All that's left inside (from what I can determine) is the lowest level that once contained generators and fuel tanks.
