I do remember the ice machines! Hadn't thought of them for years! Speaking of the junk men, a friend of mine told me that one lived in a shack made out of scraps and corrugated metal in the dunes near Lincoln High School. They used to throw rocks at his "home" when they passed -- always sure to get a "rise" out of him!
