I remember the ice machines...also the ice trucks. The ice man with the big leather poncho would pull a big block of ice out of the truck with his tongs & carry it into a house on his back. When he chipped a block loose, there were always small pieces of ice to grab & sip. I'd forgotten about the cardboard flags to leave in the milk bottles. I do remember rolling milk bottle tops against the wall at school in competition....(same manner as pennies a couple of years later.)
