Re: Lawton School

I entered Lawton School kindergarten in 1953. I also had Miss Meehan, and I use to escort Rozalind, the blind girl around the school. Miss McCullough was the principal and we kids all respected our teachers. We use to have milk and graham crackers in the cafeteria in the mornings. My Mother was a homeroom Mother and made sandwiches to bring to the kids in class. Santa would visit and bring candy canes to the kids every Xmas, and we had music lessons. It was a wonderful school, and we learned reading, writing, history, and arithmetic. We walked down the hall in twos, holding hands with our partners. All very orderly. We kids made some lifelong friends. Would love a reunion of my graduating class of 1960 Michele
