Do I remember Wally's! It's where I discovered Pistaschio ice cream. Bought some recently at a grocery store. No where near the flavor I remember with the nuts and all in it.

As of two years ago, the Tennessee Grill was still in operation. Was there a few years ago. We lived near there.
They had a piano at that time, and I got my mom to play it.
Found your site when I was looking for a project the SF Library put together on the neighborhoods which I contributed to.
