I was in my math class at Giannini when we were told about President Kennedy. It was so shocking and the world was so scary for such a long time after the event. I am not sure that we ever got over the death of our President. Life might be different today if JFK had served his entire term.
I went to Dallas the year before last and spent the day in the JFK museum. The book depository had pictures of the day and the following days. I can remember watching television and seeing Jack Ruby shoot Oswald right in front of our eyes. It all cam rushing back to me as I walked through the museum and looked at all of the familiar pictures and the captions beside each print. It is a fabulous display of American History and it brings back vivid memories about a time when our country was a bit more innocent.
