I was in the eighth grade at St. Monicas on 24th and Geary. The principal came on the public address system and announced it. I remember going out for recess and thinking that we would come under attack from the Russians and there would be a nuclear war or something.
I admire President Kennedy very much as he was a strong president,especially when he stood up to the Russians during the Cuban missile crisis and caused them to back down.
