I was at home around 7:15 AM when we had a small earthquake
in the 3.0 range. I then went to the 7th grade at Hoover.
Then near lunch time as classes were about to change, I entered the hallway outside Mrs. Morris' C-36 classroom.
Then the larger quake hit. Ceiling tiles started falling, and lockers opened and shut as dust rose off the floor.

After it stopped we emptied out to the school yard. The teachers were afraid that the retaining wall to the hill behind might give away, so we had to stay away from the school and the retaining wall. Finally, we got to go home early if an adult arrived to take charge.
