I didn't move to the bay area until 1970 so missed this earth quake. Don't remember that it made headlines in the mid west and I didn't know anyone living here at the time. I moved to Daly City in 1983 to one of the post 1906 houses built about 1915. In 1985 I met someone who had lived in my neighborhood on Bellevue Ave in 1957 and he remembered my house as 'the one that slid off it's foundation' I haven't had any confirmation of this.
