Lakeview/Ingleside - 1910

Ingleside Panorama - 1910

(Click here, or on the photograph to see a larger version in a new window.)

This photo is taken near the intersection of Lakeview and Jules Avenue looking north towards Ocean Avenue. The trees on the distant hills are part of Sutro's Forest (where today Westwood Park and Westwood Highlands are). Twenty years after lots were offered for sale in Lakeview, the few roads cut through are dirt, and fields of wild flowers still dominate the landscape.

On the left side sits the closed Ingleside Racetrack awaiting its impending transformation into Ingleside Terraces. On the far right, Farragut School is in the middle of construction.
