Decades ago, Nancy Allmond came into possession of a photo album that belonged to a close friend by the name of Schmid. The album has over a hundred pages of photos focused on 1906 San Francisco and the reconstruction that followed the great earthquake and fire.
Along with reconstruction photos, there are streetcar shots, office interior photos, street scenes of Fillmore, Eddy, and Van Ness Avenue, and many others.
With the centennial of the 1906 earthquake approaching, Nancy hopes to find a way to get these great photographs in print somehow. We're trying to help by querying publishers and displaying some of the terrific and unique images in the album. If you can help with this publication-idea, please contact Nancy Allmond via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
